The estate of Principe Corsini, where we stopped on our bike tour, sits in the heart of the Chianti wine district about half way between Florence and Siena.
The Corsini family crest can be found on the Trevi Fountain in Rome. The Corsini's were one of the family's who funded the fountain.

In the Olive Oil Factory of Principe Corsini
Wine & Olive Oil Tasting! We tried both the organic extra virgin olive oil and nonorganic. As for the wine, we tried the, Le Corti, a Chianti Classic made up of Sangiovese 95%, Canaiolo e Colorino 5% and the much more expensive Don Tommaso, made up of Sangiovese 85% Merlot 15%
As was lunch at Cantinetta del Nonno, in the small town of San Casciano, where we ate a short while after our visit to the winery. If you ever happen to be in town, go to Cantinetta del Nonno. The menu boasts delicious and classic Italian dishes with fresh ingredients. We got a choice of pasta, salad, dessert and of course, more Chianti wine. It tasted like home!
